BIOGRAPHY
Sean Williams (born April 27, 1992), known by his stage name Sean Solo is an American Indie rock singer, guitarist and songwriter. Williams has been compared to Brian Wilson, Paul Simon, and Sufjan Stevens. PopMatters described Williams as an "invigorating new pop act."
Sean Williams was born in Macon, GA. At a young age, he was exposed to the likes of The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, Fleetwood Mac, and The Beach Boys. Williams' music is heavily inspired by Brian Wilson and The Beach Boys. He eventually got to record with members of The Beach Boys in various capacities.
Prior to becoming a solo artist, he performed in festivals alongside The Revivalists and Susto. After leaving his band Dalmatian in 2015, he began his solo career under the name Sean Solo. Williams released his first album Songs of Life and Death in 2016. He collaborated with Grammy award winning engineer Greg Calbi on his second album Depth Perception. The album was released on June 2, 2017. Endless Summer Quarterly described the album as having "youthful energy" and "nuanced pop sensibilities."
